Mr. Kertes is the teacher-advisor of the CHSS Journalism Club. He is a teacher at CHSS and teachers English 9 and English First Peoples 11. Mr. Kertes is also the coach of the Rainmakers Debate Team. Before teaching at CHSS, he taught at Prince Rupert Middle School (PRMS) and at Gidg̱alang Ḵuuyas Naay in Haida Gwaii.
